Overview

If you're craving a true taste of Mexico, Mi Pueblo Authentic Mexican Food in Gresham, Oregon, is a must-visit. Tucked away at 18836 SE Stark St, this gem serves up dishes that are as vibrant as they are flavorful, all made with fresh, quality ingredients. Whether you're a fan of tacos, burritos, or more adventurous fare, there's something on the menu that will satisfy every craving.

Walking into Mi Pueblo, you're immediately greeted by the comforting aromas of grilled meats, sizzling fajitas, and the warm, spicy scent of authentic Mexican spices. The atmosphere is casual but welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a family dinner or a quick meal with friends. It’s clear from the start that the focus here is on delivering real, homemade Mexican food, and that’s exactly what you get.

One of the standout dishes at Mi Pueblo is their carne asada. Tender, perfectly seasoned beef served with a side of freshly made tortillas is a simple yet extraordinary choice. It’s the kind of dish that showcases the care and attention put into each plate. The flavor is bold but not overwhelming, just the right balance that leaves you wanting more.

Another favorite is the shrimp tacos, which are light yet packed with flavor. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, juicy with a slight char, and served with a tangy salsa that complements the natural sweetness of the seafood. If you're into a bit of heat, the house-made hot sauces are always available to kick things up a notch.

For those who prefer something heartier, Mi Pueblo offers a variety of burritos and enchiladas. The burrito, stuffed with a combination of meats, beans, and cheese, is a meal that leaves you full and content. The enchiladas, drenched in a rich and flavorful red sauce, are a comfort food classic. Each bite is a reminder of the authenticity and care that goes into each dish.

What sets Mi Pueblo apart from other Mexican restaurants is its dedication to authenticity. The owners and chefs have roots in Mexico and bring their culinary traditions with them. They focus on using traditional recipes passed down through generations, and you can taste the difference. The menu is a reflection of the diverse regions of Mexico, offering dishes that go beyond the typical Tex-Mex fare. For example, the pozole is a hearty, flavorful stew that’s perfect for a cold day, while the tamales are soft, flavorful, and stuffed with everything from chicken to pork to cheese.

If you’re visiting Mi Pueblo for the first time, don’t forget to check out their specials. The daily offerings often include some of the restaurant’s best dishes, giving you the opportunity to try something new. It’s a great way to get a taste of what makes this spot so beloved by locals.

Arrived about 7 pm on a hot summer Friday night. Restaurant was not busy (we were the only patrons), BUT others were in the bar area. Food arrived a little slower than I would have thought considering there were not many others - BUT it did arrive in a reasonable time. we ordered the shredded beef super famoso burrito (Β½ green sauce Β½ red sauce) 2 chicken enchilada combo plate and a bacon shrimp wrapped plate (I forgot the actual name of the dish) The chicken fajitas has a good price point but those i wouldnt order again (didnt look anything like the photo on menu not did it have a good flavor) but i would come back again and love to try different entrees. It's really close to home, which is a plus

The sausage Breakfast Burrito was piping hot when it arrived and definitely hit the spot for my late night craving. Would order again. Plus they have REAL hash-browns and not French fries in their burrito which I LOVE :) got my food on door-dash but felt like they deserved a good review on google!

Best kept secret in Portland. I've been here many times for lunch and I've started bringing coworkers. Everyone raves about the food AND the prices are the bomb too! If you want great Mexican food, and awesome service in a large, clean, comfortable restaurant, this is it.
